This week, we sat down with Ft. Lauderdale United midfielder Addie McCain, the Golden Boot leader and one of the league’s brightest stars. The Texas A&M Aggie scored eight goals in 14 matches to lead the scoring charts and help secure a playoff position. A former 5A State Champion with Wylie East High School and an SEC First-Team standout, she reflected on her time as an FC Dallas youth product and what it was like growing up in the Dallas youth soccer scene from the female perspective. Finally, at just 25 and in the prime of her career—having already tasted success in the NWSL with Kansas City—we asked Addie what she would tell the version of herself who was cut from Chicago last year.

As the USL Championship starts, we sat down with Sebastian Blanco as he begins his time as an attacking midfielder with Miami FC. Having played in Argentina, Ukraine, and England, Blanco truly made his name in the U.S. with the Portland Timbers, where he tallied an impressive 159 appearances and 40 goals.
