Despite a horrendous start to the season, Kenny Bundy’s DynaDos side have somehow clawed their way back to a good position in the standings. As of writing this, Houston sits in 8th place in the conference standings, which would be enough to get the DynaDos squad into the playoffs. Considering the context, this run in form has been nothing short of spectacular. 

Although Minnesota scored first in the 34th minute, Houston got a stroke of luck just a couple of minutes later thanks to an own goal. The first half started and ended with Houston dominating possession and creating some fast combination plays. 

In the second half, the fireworks truly started, especially for Houston, all thanks to Gabe Segal. The American striker has been on a roll these past couple of weeks, and he continued his torrid run of form against Minnesota. 

His first goal of the match came in the 53rd minute. Jefferson Valverde gave Segal a beautiful through ball, and the finish from Segal was world class. He chipped it cleanly over the goalkeeper, and Houston began to pile on. 

Six minutes later, Segal scored another, which was the result of some beautiful play from Valverde and Femi Awodesu, who notched his first assist as a professional. 

The rest of the match played out exactly how Houston wanted. Minnesota barely put up a threat to Xavier Valdez, who ended up with three saves on the night. 

Houston now has another tough challenge ahead of them against Ventura County. As things stand, there are only eight points separating Houston and LA. If they win their upcoming game, the scenarios suddenly become more intriguing. 

With five games left, Kenny Bundy’s team now control their destiny. All it takes is a couple of big wins and some luck in order to put Houston firmly in the playoff picture.
