Throughout four games, Dynamo 2 haven’t won a single match yet. While this is definitely a worrying start, there are still plenty of games left to fix the situation. But for Kenny Bundy and his team, they expected better to start off the 2024 season.
Houston had their first shot of the game in the third minute, when Ousmane Sylla played a forward pass to Ifu Achara, who’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Ryan Schewe.
In the ninth minute, the home side took the lead thanks to a Maouloune Goumballe one-touch finish.
In the 13th minute, Diego Gonzalez tried to equalize the match by taking a long shot, but his attempt went wide. A couple of minutes later, Brooklyn Raines had his shot inside of the box blocked.
In the 39th minute, Achara forced yet another save, and it was Sylla again who delivered the ball.
In the 41st minute, Omar Grey was handed his second yellow card of the game, and he was sent off. The Dynamo would finish the game with 10 men.
In the 75th minute, KC doubled their lead with Kamrom Habibullah finding the far post. In the 84th minute, they tacked on another goal Sebastian Cruz squeezed in a shot from a tough angle. The last goal of the encounter would come a couple minutes later with Megdy Alexandre scoring his first goal of the season. Shortly after, the game ended with the home side dominating the Dynamo.
Dynamo 2 will try to reset and win their next match of this road trip against North Texas SC at Globe Life Park. Their next home game will be on May 22 against St. Louis CITY SC II. Remember, tickets are free! So make sure to come by and watch the next generation of Houston Dynamo players at SaberCats Stadium.
