Joshua Kimmich is currently in favour of not renewing his contract with Bayern Munich which expires next summer, Barcelona is his preferred destination should he decide to leave, Bayern has a choice to either renew his contract this summer or sell him or they might lose him for free, Barcelona were interested in Kimmich last summer as Xavi is a massive fan of the player. Deco is a huge fan of Girona's Brazilian winger SAvinho who is having a great season so far, he has a contract at Troyes until 2027 but Deco has known about him for a long time now since his D20 agency and wants to recruit him to Barcelona. The club is considering the sale of Oriol Romeu this summer after a very poor past month at the club, it's evident that Romeu can't compete at the high level and struggles when teams overrun him, he also is struggling with a knee problem that prevents him from playing frequently, Girona is interested in re-signing him. Barcelona has been approached by multiple companies to become the new shirt sponsor, Barcelon has been with Nike since 1998 and wants to renegotiate their deal together, if they can't find an agreement the club is ready to look for other options.

Xavi has decided to rest key players ahead of this game as he hasn't called up Robert Lewandowksi, Frenkie de Jong, Ronald Araujo, and Ilky Gundogan. Inaki Pena said in his press conference this morning that I prepare myself by training every day, just in case the opportunity comes your way or there is an unfortunate event as has happened with Ter Stegen, in a club like Barça you always have to be prepared and it comes to you from zero to one hundred in a moment because three very important games in a row have come against Porto, Atletico and Girona. You prepare for this. Xavi said in his press conference this morning that with the staff we try to focus on what we can control, to train the player with the maximum demand every day. I told my staff in Qatar when Laporta called me to get ready, that there would be criticism at some point, and they have adapted. In the staff we are all born Culés and we know how demanding the club is. Overall this match is really pointless so in reality, all we can hope for is for the squad players to put a stance on why they should be getting more minutes and performing well.
