Barcelona has begun their search to potentially acquire a new midfielder in the January transfer window due to the lack of depth in this position, although it isn't certain the club does see it as an option and wants to keep that possibility open, with the injury to Gavi a lot of names have emerged as targets for the club in January. Tottenham is keen on signing Raphinha from Barcelona and is even open to potential swap deals involving their players, Cristian Romero is the player Barcelona likes the most as they've been following him since his Atlanta days but the club also likes Giovani Lo Celso but wouldn't swap Raphinha for him, Raphinha, on the other hand, doesn't want to leave Barcelona now and will reevaluate his situation in the summer. The priority for the club still in the January transfer window is Vitor Roque as the Brazilian striker has now fully recovered from his injury and could be a massive asset to the club come the second half of the season, movements are still being made in the direction of Roque's arrival come the new year. Pablo Gavi has suffered one of the worst injuries you can in football and is also the first Barcelona player to have a serious injury in quite some time, the downtime for him will be a long time but he has the full support of the club and the fans.
