Join me! As I travel to watch the USMNT at the CONCACAF Nations League Finals in Dallas, Texas!
In this episode, we open with a match preview from USMNT legend Stuart Holden ahead of the semi final between the USA and Jamaica. The Reggae Boyz take a shock lead as we talk to AFTV’s Cecil Jee Thomas. An own goal in the 96th minute saves the USMNT, leading to extra time. In extra time Haji Wright plays hero as the USMNT advance to yet another classic final against Mexico.
In between the semi final and final we attend the Copa America playoffs at FC Dallas Stadium. The first match sees Canada earn their place in this summer's tournament with a win over Trinidad and Tobago. In the second playoff a packed stadium cheers on Honduras to an early lead over Costa Rica. It was not to be for Los Catrachos however as Los Ticos booked their spot in the Copa America.
Finally the main event as USA looks to extend their dominance over Mexico. The US supporters section is loud and represents well in spite of an overwhelmingly pro Mexican crowd. This support is rewarded as Tyler Adams lashes a ball from well outside the box past Guillermo Ochoa. The USMNT seal the win with a goal from Giovanni Reyna for that famous scoreline again. Barcelona has two main candidates to replace Xavi next season. The difficult option is Luis Enrique, and the easier one is Hansi Flick, in case Barcelona can't sign Luis Enrique or Hansi Flick to replace Xavi, Rafa Márquez is the third option to take over the first team. Barcelona does not forget about Nico Williams. He remains high on the agenda in case Barça are able to make a move in the summer window. He is popular due to his profile and because he plays on the left wing, Nico would be excited to join Barça and he also has several good friends at Barça. There will be a lot of movement for the Barça center-backs this summer, eight players will be on the payroll and only four can stay, Cubarsi is a fixed player, he is here to stay, so decisions must be taken with the rest. Both Puma and Nike have put their offers on the table to be Barcelona kit supplier and sponsor, the club will make a decision in the next week.
