Entering this match, the Dynamo hadn’t lost a match in five matches, but their nice run of form ended after Tacoma scored two goals in rapid succession in the second half. Regardless, Houston’s unbeaten run was going to end at some point, and the team will now have to mentally reset before going on yet another road trip.

In the 21st minute, Nico Hansen made his first of five saves in the match at the near post to deny Yu Tsukanome.

Barely a minute later, Hansen was able to make another save, but the rebound found Burke Fahling who then scored, giving Tacoma the early lead against Kenny Bundy's side.

In the 56th minute, Houston almost found an equalizer thanks to a shot from Annor, but the attempt was saved by the Tacoma goalkeeper. The rebound found Findlay, but yet again, the shot was saved.

Just a couple of minutes later, however, Femi Awodesu received a beautiful cross from Ousmane Sylla, and the Dynamo were able to take back control of this game.

In the 63rd minute, Houston struck once again thanks to a nice combination play from the team that eventually found Findlay. Findlay scored his first professional goal back on May 22.

However, the Dynamo then conceded two goals in three minutes, including an own goal from a Dynamo 2 defender that went just past Hansen.

In the final moments of the match, Houston desperately tried to find an equalizer, but it was all for naught and the game ended with the visitors grabbing all three points.

In reality, this game could have gone either way, but to Tacoma’s credit, they had seven shots blocked compared to Houston, who only had one.

Houston will now go on a road trip before returning home on June 23 to face off against Colorado Rapids 2. Tickets are free and available down below:
