Rotation is expected in this match from the blaugrana ahead of a very busy and important month of January. Xavi said in his press conference this morning that it is a match in which we are very favorites, so we have very little to gain and a lot to lose. You have to go out with all five senses, the precedents of the sixteenths tell us that it can be complicated. Overall despite playing away from home this should be a comfortable win for Barcelona, with the squad we have this should be a walk in the part, elimination will result in chaos.

The club has officially decided to give the green light to pursue the signing of Estevao Willian, Messinho, of Palmeiras as a decision had to be made due to the high amount of money being involved, he's rumoured to have a sixty million euro release clause which Barcelona will have to pay but now its time to negotiate the pay structure of the deal, Messinho dreams and wants the move to Catalan and it is his priority. Barcelona is targeting a midfield signing for January and has their eyes set on Aleix Garcia of Girona, Xavi is keen for the Spanish midfielder to join and the club is working on the deal although it is completed to complete especially in January, there are other options in the event this deal doesn't take place. Bayern Munich continues to push for the signing of Ronald Araujo come the summer time, if Araujo hasn't renewed or is in advance negotiation by then, Bayern is ready to pay over eighty million euros to Barcelona, this will come down to the decision of the player as Deco is keen on keeping Araujo. Barcelona's relationship with Nike is on the verge of collapsing as a meeting will be taking place this week to come to a decision as the kits for next season need to be decided.

Barcelona comes into this tournament as the champions for the first time since the new format was introduced in 2020, with only one victory the team looks to defend its title. Ronald Araujo said in his press conference this morning that we hope [the Super Cup] marks a turning point. It’s a title and is very important for the team and the club. Xavi said in his press conference this morning that I have full confidence in my players. In most games we have performed well and the team is prepared to compete. We are physically and mentally fit to compete in the Super Cup. Overall it’s going to be a good contest for both teams, especially with the travelling and adapting to new surroundings playing into effect but Barcelona has one clear objective and that's to travel back to Catalonia with the trophy.
