Barcelona is beginning to plan the target for the upcoming summer transfer window and has the pivot reinforcement as the main priority, the three main names recently have been Guido Rodriguez, Martin Zubimendi, and Joshua Kimmich but now the club has doubts about all three of them leaving them with no main targets whatsoever in a position they must sign someone. The club is in the market for a midfielder with a similar profile to Yaya Toure and has identified Bruno Gumiares, Amadou Onana, and Youssef Fofona as their preliminary targets, whether this would be considered a priority in the summer remains to be seen however the club are monitoring midfielders with the Yaya Toure profile. Bayern Munich is keen to sign two of Barcelona's centre-backs amid injuries they've suffered in that position, Clement Lenglet is an option and would be a simple operation it's just down to Bayern agreeing to Barcelona's terms but Ronald Araujo is their dream option and apparently Thomas Tuchel called Araujo to try and convince him to join but the Uruguayan has refused. President Joan Laporta has confirmed the club is interested in signing both Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix on a permanent basis following their loan deals.

Barcelona is targeting a midfield signing for January and has their eyes set on Aleix Garcia of Girona, Xavi is keen for the Spanish midfielder to join and the club is working on the deal although it is completed to complete especially in January, there are other options in the event this deal doesn't take place. Chadi Riad's entourage denies any information and news regarding a decision being made for the Moroccan defending to join in the summer, Barcelona has a buyback option on Chadi Riad and they're considering executing it in the summer but as of now, no decision has been made from the club and Riad himself. Barcelona is preparing to sue Libero Football Finance following their inability to pay the fourty million euros agreed to buy ten percent of BarcaStudio, the deadline was at the end of 2023 and that deadline has since passed and the club is planning to take legal action against the company. Pedri is expected to be ruled out until the end of January following the injury he suffered in training before the Almeria match, there is a chance for him to be fit for the Super Cup final should Barcelona qualify.
