Barcelona beat Porto by two goals to one at Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium to secure qualification to the round of 16 in the Champions League. The goals came in from both Joaos, Cancelo and Felix, to secure the three vital points for the blaugrana. Yet again the performance was unconvincing as well struggled in the first half and conceded first again, second half was better but still wasn't great. Players individually didn't play well and come of Xavi's decision-making in the game wasn't great. Overall though the job is done and we move, let's pray we keep improving.

Slow start to the game but we managed to get the vital three points. Good and poor cameos all round. Overall big win and we now focus on the last three games of the season.

?Barcelona has enquired to Alphonso Davie's agent on the availability of the Canadian left-back in the following transfer market, the club has been following Davies since his days in the MLS and now his contract is running down with Bayern Munich, nothing no concrete interest. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of the options to reinforce the left wing in the summer as the club sees it as one of the priorities, in a poor Napoli side he hasn't done too badly but the current Seria A champions will be asking for a huge transfer fee which Barcelona probably can't afford. Joshua Kimmich is currently in favour of not renewing his contract with Bayern Munich which expires next summer, Barcelona is his preferred destination should he decide to leave, Bayern has a choice to either renew his contract this summer or sell him or they might lose him for free, Barcelona were interested in Kimmich last summer as Xavi is a massive fan of the player. Barcelona is in the market for a new manager come the summer as Xavi has announced his decision to leave the club at the end of the season, Joan Laporta and Deco are tasked with finding a new manager which won't be easy as the market is quite limited, at the moment the favourite is Hansi Flick alongside Thomas Tuchel, Roberto De Zerbi is liked but difficult to sign.

The arrival of Vitor Roque in the January transfer window is still in question as the club sorts out the financial fair play rules behind it, Deco is confident that the deal will get over the line but very unlikely any other deal will take place. After reports of being on the verge of renewing his contract with Athletic Club the agent of Nico Williams has confirmed the player isn't actually close to renewing and with only six months left on his deal this could potentially open up the door for Barcelona to take advantage of. Robert Lewandowski has been in the media quite a bit lately amid reports not only about his future but his on-field behaviour, but the situation with Lamine Yamal is already dead in the water and sorted out, Barcelona plan to keep Lewandowski until 2025 as they want Vitor Roque to learn from him but only a crazy offer can change this dynamic. Players and staff in the Barcelona first-team dressing room are being affected by the media pressure lately around the Catalunya press to the point it's affecting their on-field and off-field performances. Xavi is planning to make a few tactical tweaks during the international break with Frenkie de Jong returning from injury and Pedri getting to full fitness it leaves Joao Felix's place in the starting lineup in question.
